Stone & Vale focuses on natural diamonds

Stone & Vale works with natural diamonds and coloured gemstones. Product details and available documentation are discussed for each individual piece.

Customers are welcome to ask what sourcing, report or supplier information is available for a specific diamond.

What the Kimberley Process covers

The Kimberley Process is an international certification scheme connected to the trade in rough diamonds. It was created to reduce the flow of conflict diamonds in international rough diamond trade.

It is one part of responsible sourcing discussion, not a complete answer to every ethical, environmental or labour question in the jewellery supply chain.

Responsible sourcing is broader than one scheme

Responsible sourcing can involve supplier standards, documentation, treatment disclosure, product history and clear communication about what is known and what is not known.

Stone & Vale will not claim complete traceability, guaranteed conflict-free sourcing or fully sustainable mining unless that evidence exists for the individual product.
